Lakeshore Foundation, an Alabama non-profit corporation (“Lakeshore” or “We”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy.

This policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you access Lakeshore’s online and/or mobile services and websites, including lakeshore.org, bocciaunitedstates.org, and usawr.org and any software service, feature, and program (including text or e-mail messages, notifications, and other messages) provide by or on behalf of Lakeshore on or in connection with such services, apps, or websites (the “Website”) and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.

You may also send us an email at communications@lakeshore.org to request access to or correct personal information that you have provided to us. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.

Your State and Country Privacy Rights

Numerous state and international comprehensive consumer privacy laws may provide their residents with additional rights regarding our use of their personal information, including the European Union, California, Virginia, Connecticut, Colorado, Utah, Iowa, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Oregon, Montana, Texas, Delaware, Florida, New Jersey, Nebraska, and New Hampshire. Residents of these states, and any other states that enact similar data privacy laws, may request to access, correct, delete, or port their personal information, as well as request confirmation whether their personal information was processed. California’s “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code Section § 1798.83) permits users of our Website that are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We currently do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. Please know we do not currently sell data triggering that statute’s opt-out requirements. By clicking “I Consent” on the Website, you are opting-in to collection of your personal information. EU residents also have the right to withdraw consent of collection of any personal information, the right to access, erase, rectify, restrict, or object to the collection or processing of personal information. EU residents also have the right to port their personal information, be notified of data breaches, and submit complaints to a supervisory authority. Data Security

We have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. All information you provide to us is stored in locked file cabinets or on our secure servers behind firewalls, as applicable. The information provided may be stored for up to five years after the completion of the services, events or programs.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information or personal sensitive information transmitted to our Website. Any transmission of personal information or personal sensitive information is at your own risk. Our transmission of personal sensitive information is in accordance with HIPAA guidance, and we take reasonable efforts to protect your information. However, we are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Website.

Changes to Our Privacy Policy

It is our policy to post any changes we make to our privacy policy on this page with a notice that the privacy policy has been updated on the Website home page using an alert banner.
